Adding a File to Your Content Collection

Go to your Blackboard Course.



Click on the Content Collection tab.



This will bring you to the My Content site.



To add a file, click on Add Item icon.



Next click on Browse and find a file to upload from your Hard Drive, USB Flash Drive, or disk and then click on Submit.



The file will be posted in the Content Collection in My Content. Click on the Permissions icon.



Permission may be granted to others to read, write, or manage your file. You do not want to give permission to remove, however. Click on Modify to modify the permissions granted.



Read -- Give others the ability to view the content.
Write -- Give others the ability to edit the content.
Remove -- Give others the ability to delete the content.
Manage -- Give others the ability to change the above options.
Set the appropriate permissions and click on Submit.



You can also add Folders. Click on the Folder icon.



Next fill in the name of folder and click Submit.



To add a file to the folder, click on Add Item icon.



Next click on Browse and find a file to upload from your Hard Drive, USB Flash Drive, or disk and then click on Submit.
