Admissions Associates

The office of Admissions has Full- and Part-time openings at at both NY and NJ campuses for Admission's Associates. Seasoned candidate must be able to work in a goal driven, team environment. Responsibilities include recruitment of prospective students from interview to final process. Sales, customer service and extensive follow up skills are required. Heavy phone/computer work, ability to multi-task and meet deadlines are essential.

Inside and outside work required during seasonal times. All positions include Evening/Saturday hours. Bachelor's degree/computer literacy required.

Bookstore Managers

The New York City and Westchester Campuses currently have immediate openings for Bookstore Managers.

These positions have direct responsibility for the management and operation of the campus bookstores. Primary responsibilities include purchasing and selling of textbooks and retail items; monitoring inventory levels and establishing inventory controls; creating marketing materials to promote bookstore events; and working collaboratively with the campus community to support retention of students.

The Westchester Campus bookstore is a small, one-person operation. The New York City Manager will supervise two employees.

Required qualifications include prior supervisory experience in a retail environment, strong customer service & organizational skills, and computer literacy. A Bachelor's degree is preferred. Regular schedules include some evening and Saturday hours.

Director of Admissions

Berkeley College seeks to fill a Director of Admissions position with a highly skilled manager responsible for all aspects of a comprehensive Admissions process. Responsibilities include supervising staff, interviewing prospective students, developing relationships with high schools and educational organizations, and recruitment. A Bachelor's degree and computer literacy are required. Three years of experience in sales management are a plus.

Executive Assistant

The Executive Office located at the Garret Mountain Campus has a full-time position available for an Executive Assistant.

The candidate must possess excellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills and have the ability to work independently as well as with others, in addition to having a strong knowledge of Microsoft Office and the Internet. Knowledge of PeopleSoft, Blackboard, and Quark are a plus. Hours are 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday through Friday. Some flexibility in hours may occasionally be required. A Bachelor's degree and a minimum of three years of experience are preferred.

IS Project Manager

The Information Systems Department at the Garret Mountain Campus is currently seeking an IS Project Manager.

The position requires three years of experience working as a project manger with a broad background in IT and a Bachelor's degree in a related field of study. Experience managing large scale hardware and software implementations is required, as well as strong interpersonal and communication skills. Project management certification and experience using project management software such as @Task is preferred.

Manager of Desktop Services

The IS Department is seeking a full time Manager of Desktop Services supporting the New Jersey campuses. He/She will report directly to the Director of Desktop Services and manage a team of 4-5 technicians. The schedule for this position is 8:00 AM to 4:00 PM Monday through Friday working at the Woodbridge Campus.

This position requires strong hands-on knowledge of PC hardware, peripheral equipment and client side configuration in a Windows XP environment. Working knowledge of Novell Netware and Active Directory is required. Responsibilities for this position include monitoring all NJ Helpdesk queues for emergency and priority situations, establishing strong working relationships with the New Jersey campus communities, performing a routine daily walk-through of the campus to be sure all labs are in working order, monitoring of the New Jersey Campus call queue and the prompt and effective resolution of Helpdesk tickets. Candidates should be self-motivated with a strong desire to learn and have excellent interpersonal skills.

Qualified candidates must have 5 years experience managing a technical team, strong written and oral communication skills, and experience working with a call management system. Travel to other campuses in the NY and NJ area is necessary. A Bachelor’s degree in a related field is preferred. Individuals must have the ability to prioritize tasks, multitask in a high pressure situation, and perform regular follow-up on issues as required.

Telecounselors - Appointment Setters, Part-Time

Berkeley College seeks staff to arrange campus visits for interested students and their parents. Must have good communication/sales skills and a positive attitude. Sales experience and bilingual a plus. Complete training is available. Great for college students, retirees, and those in need of a second income. Fun environment!

Flex shifts are available Monday-Thursday, 11:00 am-9:00 pm. 18 hours minimum/29 hours maximum per week. Westchester County location.
