Guy Adamo, Ph.D., Chair, Fashion, and Cal Hodock, Marketing, both in the Larry L. Luing School of Business, are co-authors of "Attacking Creative Dilemmas: New Product Innovation Must Get Through Obstacles to Achieve Success," which was reprinted in the October Edison Awards newsletter (Issue No. 12). In addition, the article was translated into Spanish for publication in the February issue of Tiempo de Mercadeo, a marketing publication in Colombia.
Alyssa Adomaitis, Ph.D., Fashion, Larry L. Luing School of Business, is reviewing a manuscript titled "Multifaceted Appearance Management as Cultural Practice" for Sage Publications. In addition, Dr. Adomaitis served as a reviewer for six conference abstracts for the Fashion and Social Responsibility Symposium 2013.
Rahul Bedi, Ph.D., Associate Chair, Management, Larry L. Luing School of Business, received the Faculty of the Year Award for excellence in on-site instruction.
Christian N. Ehiobuche, Ph.D., presented “Total Quality Management and Creative Thinking in the Health Care Industry” at the University of West Indies Regional Conference on Improving Health Care Quality and Delivery in Port of Spain, Trinidad and Tobago. The article was published in the January issue of the West Indian Medical Journal.
Clemense E. Ehoff Jr., Ph.D., CPA, is a co-author of "Why the SEC is Delaying Adoption of International Financial Reporting Standards," which was presented at the Clute Institute International Academic Conference in Las Vegas, NV. The paper published in the February issue of the International Business and Economics Research Journal.
James Grady, Accounting, Larry L. Luing School of Business, received the Adjunct Faculty of the Year Award for excellence in instruction.
Philip Levine, CPA, JD, completed the 2012 Continuing Professional Education requirements in connection with the New York State Department of Education License for Certified Public Accountants. In addition, Mr. Levine is the author of "The Importance of Education in Building the Profession," which was published in the November edition of The CPA Journal.
Stella Nicolaou, Fashion, Larry L. Luing School of Business, received the Faculty of the Year Award for excellence in online instruction. She also participated in the Student Portfolio Reviews at the New York City College of Technology. Ms. Nicolaou reviewed student portfolios in graphics, advertising and Web design, illustration/animation and broadcasting.
Joseph Scuralli, DPS, Chair, Management, Larry L. Luing School of Business, presented a program titled "Purchasing: Negotiation and Strategies" for the North Jersey Chapter of the International Association of Administrative Professionals at the Village Inn in Wayne, NJ.
Syleecia Thompson, DBA, Management, Larry L. Luing School of Business, was a guest speaker on the New Music Industry Panel at Sullivan Hall in Manhattan, NY. In addition, Dr. Thompson was a guest on NiteLineRadio.com, a show that focuses on music, entertainment and comedy.
Ira Weissman, CPA, Chair, Accounting and Finance, Larry L. Luing School of Business, presented “Analyzing and Understanding Financial Statements for Not-for-Profit Organizations” at the NYU School of Philanthropy.
Robert Woods, Fashion, Larry L. Luing School of Business, was interviewed for a segment on “Dressing for Job Promotions,” which aired on Ebru Today, a morning show on the Ebru TV network.
