Criminal Justice

Would you like a career combating
crime or improving security?

Facing new and unanticipated domestic and international challenges, the American justice system and the roles of agencies and individuals involved in law enforcement are constantly being redefined. Explore the various career opportunities available to you by pursuing one of Berkley College’s Justice Studies programs:

Justice Studies: Criminal Justice (B.S.) – Built on a solid base in business and technology, this program is designed to prepare you with the in-depth understanding and practical skills required for successful careers in criminal justice, security, and justice administration. With elective courses in specialized areas such as Terrorism, Cyber Crime, Global Security, and Intelligence, you will have the opportunity to analyze emerging issues in the field and focus your studies in a single area such as policing or security.

Justice Studies: Criminal Justice (A.A.S.) – This program also provides a solid base in business and technology while preparing you with the skills required for entry-level positions in a variety of agencies administering justice, including local police and corrections departments, state and federal agencies, and private and corporate security operations.

“The courses and environment at Berkeley require you to interact fully with a diverse group of people. This is a much needed skill in my chosen field. My career goal is to become a member of the United States Secret Service. I believe that an Associate's degree from Berkeley College will give me a strong start in that direction. ”
