Berkeley College Community Service Initiatives

Since 1931, Berkeley College has been committed to exceptional career-focused education, as well as giving back to the communities it serves by partnering with organizations that share our core values. Through Berkeley Cares, faculty, staff, and students have donated thousands of hours to helping numerous community groups and charitable causes. We are proud to continue that tradition by supporting several great upcoming events. We encourage you to join us in making a difference:

The Susan Zabransky Hughes Memorial 5K Run on Saturday, April 29 in Saddle River
benefits a special oncology suite at HackensackUMC, a scholarship fund for promising students, as well as a camp for pediatric patients and their families. These efforts are in memory of Susan Zabransky Hughes, who lost her battle with cervical cancer. http://saddleriver5k.com/

The MS Walk at Overpeck County Park in Ridgefield Park on Sunday, April 30 raises awareness and funds for solutions for those affected by Multiple Sclerosis. Come on your own or gather a group to join the Berkeley-sponsored team as we work together in an effort to end MS forever. http://walkms.org/

The Arthritis Walk in Woodland Park on Sunday, May 21 will be held at the Berkeley College campus and is part of a national effort to rally communities and raises funds for better treatments and cutting-edge research to conquer arthritis, which affects more than 50 million people and is the number 1 cause of disability in the United States. http://arthritis.org/

The Go the Distance for Autism Bike Ride on Sunday, June 4 benefits the Garden Academy in West Orange, NJ and other leading organizations on the forefront of autism care and services. Cyclists of all levels are invited to join the Berkeley College team as we ride to help improve the lives of children, adults, and families affected by autism. http://gtd4autism.org/

Sharing our time and talents is part of the Berkeley way. We remain dedicated to setting an example through ongoing support of causes that benefit our communities.
