Cynthia A. Rubino
Cynthia Rubino was appointed Vice President for Government Relations, New York in April 2013. In this position she works with college leadership to shape the legislative agenda on the local, state, and national levels focusing on student aid policy. Before assuming this role full-time, she split her time between this position and the role of Campus Operating Officer, White Plains, where she oversaw all administrative aspects of Berkeley College's full-service location of 700 students in White Plains, NY.
Prior to joining Berkeley College, Ms. Rubino served Pace University as Vice President for Government and Community Relations. In this role, she was responsible for advancing the University’s legislative agenda, promoting economic development opportunities, and promoting partnership initiatives with external constituencies. Ms. Rubino was also the Village Administrator of Tarrytown, NY. Her responsibility as the Chief Administrative Officer of the community included supervision of police, public works, highway, building, village clerk, and volunteer fire departments. The Village Board and Planning Board activities were also part of her day-to-day administrative duties. She was the budget officer overseeing a $12.5 million dollar budget, grant fund programs, and moderate income housing programs. She also served as the Village’s environmental review officer.
Ms. Rubino received her Master’s degree in Public Administration from Pace University and a B.S. degree from Mercy College.
