Deborah Palicia was named Registrar in July 2015. In this role she is responsible for maintaining students' personal and academic records. This includes assuring the accuracy and integrity of the student records and maintaining jurisdiction over the sphere of technology containing student and faculty data.
Ms. Palicia previously served as Associate Registrar and Dean of Advisement at the Woodland Park campus. Before joining Berkeley, she was a Criminal Justice faculty member at Caldwell University; Chair and a Professor of Criminal Justice at Gibbs College in Livingston, NJ; a Pretrial Services Officer for the U.S. District Court in Newark, NJ; and a Probation Officer and Investigator for Morris County, NJ.
Ms. Palicia is a Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) for Passaic County. She is a member of the American Association of Collegiate Registrars and Admissions Officers; the New Jersey Association of Criminal Justice Educators; and Alpha Phi Sigma, the National Criminal Justice Honor Society.
Ms. Palicia holds an M.A. in Criminal Justice with a specialization in Correctional Administration – Probation and Parole and a B.S. in Criminal Justice, both from John Jay College of Criminal Justice in New York; and an A.A.S. in Criminal Justice from the County College of Morris.
