Gbubemi Okotieuro

Vice President, Government Relations, New York

Gbubemi Okotieuro was appointed Berkeley College Vice President, Government Relations, New York, in February 2014. In this role, Mr. Okotieuro serves as a strong liaison for Berkeley College, reaching out to local, regional, state and federal elected officials in New York State to promote the College’s mission to prepare students for career success.

Previously, Mr. Okotieuro served nine years as Associate Dean, Office of Government and External Relations, and three years as Director, Government and Community Relations at Medgar Evers College, City University of New York (CUNY). He has taught graduate courses in public policy at Queens College, CUNY, and undergraduate courses in Public Policy at Medgar Evers College, CUNY.

Mr. Okotieuro has an M.P.A. in Public Administration from Baruch College and B.A. in Film Production and Theatre Arts from the City University of New York. He serves on the boards of the Sauti Yetu Center for African Women and Families, NYC, and the Women of Color Arts and Film Festival, Atlanta, GA.
