Linda Luciano was appointed Vice President, Planning in November 2011 and Chief of Staff to the President in November 2008. As the Chief Planning Officer for the College, Dr. Luciano provides leadership, vision, and management for the College’s planning efforts. As the Chief of Staff, she provides guidance and support to the President. Prior to her current role, Dr. Luciano served as Associate Vice President, Planning and Chief of Staff to the President.
Before joining Berkeley College, Dr. Luciano worked for the Newark Alliance as the WIRED (Workforce Innovation in Regional Economic Development) Project Coordinator. She served as the Vice President of Integrated Services and Business Administration with MediMedia Educational Group in Chatham, NJ. She also served as Associate Dean and Chief Operating Officer for New Jersey Medical School-University of Medicine and Dentistry of New Jersey in Newark. She was an entrepreneur, owning an employment agency. Dr. Luciano is an accomplished executive with expertise in project management, operations, fiscal management, and policy development.
She earned an Ed.D. in Higher Education Management from the University of Pennsylvania, an M.B.A. in Marketing from Seton Hall University, and a B.S. in Business Administration, cum laude, from Caldwell College.
Dr. Luciano is a member of the Board of Trustees of Caldwell College where she chairs the academic affairs committee and serves on the student success and executive committees. She is an alumna of the class of 2010 HERS Summer Institute at Bryn Mawr, a program for women leaders in Higher Education, and an alumna of the class of 2011 American Council on Education (ACE) Advancing Women's Leadership Program. Dr. Luciano was honored by the New York City YWCA as a member of the Academy of Women Leaders Class of 2010. In January 2011 she received a Certificate of Completion from the Planning Institute, Society for College and University Planning (SCUP).
