Mark Wagener
Vice President for OperationsMark Wagener was appointed as the Vice President for Operations in August 2010. Mr. Wagener oversees day-to-day operations for buildings and grounds, public safety, sustainability, energy management, and construction at all locations. Mr. Wagener has also served as Interim COO, Woodland Park; Assistant COO, Woodland Park; and Assistant Vice President of Operations.
Prior to joining Berkeley College, Mr. Wagener worked for over 20 years at Rowan University, where he oversaw housing operations, construction administration, and budget management. He was instrumental in the development and construction of a joint public/private partnership, which included an apartment complex and bookstore. He is credited with bringing a computerized room selection program to the campus, making Rowan one of the few colleges to adopt such a cutting-edge process.
Mr. Wagener holds an M.B.A., a B.S. in Business Administration, and B.A. in Psychology, all from Rowan University. He is a member of the Association of Higher Education Facilities Officers, the Society of College and University Planners, and the Association of College and University Housing Officers. He has spoken nationally on the topics of pest management and overcrowding in a collegiate residential setting. Mr. Wagener is fluent in French.
