Marisol Abuin, J.D.

Background: Professor Abuin joined Berkley College in 1999 as an instructor in the Accounting Department. She later became the Director of the Paralegal Studies Department, Westchester Campus, and continues to teach classes in her current role as Chair of the Legal Studies Department, New York.   

Before coming to Berkeley Professor Abuin, who is fluent in Spanish, was an adjunct faculty member in the Paralegal Certificate and Legal Nurse Consultant Program at Long Island University and an adjunct faculty member in the Paralegal Certificate Program at Queens College. She also worked as a Legal Editor in Thomson Company, and a Senior Tax Consultant at Financial Counseling Services at Deloitte & Touche, LLP in New York City.

Professional Affiliations: Member of the New York State Bar Association and the American Association for Paralegal Education.

Degrees: Doctor of Law degree from Fordham University School of Law, NY and a B.S. degree in Accounting from Fordham College of Business, NY.
