Academic advisement is an important part of a Berkeley College education. Students work closely with academic advisors throughout their years at Berkeley to help align students’ educational plans with their academic, career, and personal goals.
Students are encouraged to meet with an academic advisor regularly, at least once a quarter. Through regular interaction, the Academic Advisement Department can help students connect with services and resources—such as tutoring, assistance with writing and math, skill workshops, and more—to enhance their learning experience.
Students experiencing academic difficulties should contact the Academic Advisement Department as soon as possible to obtain appropriate assistance, which may include counseling, tutoring, and other referrals.
The Academic Advisement Department provides transfer students with academic counseling that includes an overview of available services along with a review of the courses that have been accepted and remaining degree requirements to help make the transfer experience smooth and seamless.
