Dr. Melissa Baralt
School of Liberal Arts

Dr. Melissa Baralt earned her Bachelor's degree in Biology and her Master's degree in Molecular Biology from Montclair State University. She later completed her Doctoral studies in Molecular Pathology from Rutgers University. She is a member of the Bridges STEM program, Hispanic Educational Technology Services, and a Sloan Academic Scholar for Minorities in the Sciences.

She has taught at Berkeley College for six years in the School of Liberal Arts, is currently a member of the Honors Program Faculty and has received multiple awards and recognitions for her teaching success. Some of these include: Faculty of the Year for the School of Liberal Arts in 2013, recognition for her work with veteran students in 2014, and Faculty of the Year for the Honors program in 2015.

Dr. Baralt has presented her work at various conferences and workshops including: Hispanic Educational Technology Services in San Juan, Puerto Rico and Teaching and Learning Conferences in Washington, D.C.
