Financial Aid
To apply for financial aid, you must submit the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA).
Please note:
- Students starting the winter 2026 terms must file the 2025-2026 FAFSA using your 2023 taxes.
- Students starting the spring and fall 2026 term must file the 2026-2027 FAFSA using your 2024 taxes.
The College encourages all students to submit the most recent FAFSA available each year starting October 1st. Doing so ensures your financial aid can be determined in a timely manner.
- Create your Federal Student Aid (FSA) ID and password at https://studentaid.gov/fsa-id/create-account/launch
- Be sure to use the correct Berkeley College school code for the state in which you are interested in attending

For residents living outside of the New York/New Jersey area, please contact an Admissions Associate for the correct Berkeley College school code.

- In order to make it a Graduate FAFSA, under the Student Demographics section please answer:
What will your college grade level be when you begin the 2025-2026 school year?
1st year college graduate/professional (MBA, MD, PhD, etc.)
What college degree or certificate will you be working on when you begin the 2025-2026 school year?
College graduate or professional degree (MBA, MD, PhD, etc.)
Will you have your first bachelor’s degree by July 1, 2025?
If you graduated prior to July 1, 2025, then your answer is YES, but if you are completing your bachelor's during the 25-26 year then the answer on the 25-26 FAFSA should be NO.
At the beginning of the 2025-2026 school year, will you be working on a master’s or doctorate program (such as an MSN, MA, MBA, MD, JD, PhD, EdD, graduate certificate, etc.)?
YES
After submitting the FAFSA, a confirmation number will be displayed for your records.
