Keeping with tradition we kicked off Alumni Weekend 2018 with our annual NYC Dinner Cruise. On board the Hornblower Infantry our alumni, faculty, and staff celebrated another year together under the stars in New York harbor. We had a group of 80 alums and guests this year.
On Saturday morning Pat Hedley, author of Meet 100 People joined us for a lecture and Reunion Luncheon at the New York City campus. The interactive workshop focused on developing relationships and professional networking which can assist with long term career development. The group then enjoyed the reunion networking luncheon.
After the Reunion Luncheon the group took a private walking tour of the New York Public Library only a few steps away from the Berkeley 41 Street Building. A magnificent example of the Beaux-Arts style of architecture, this library has symbolized the democratic ideal of free and open access to knowledge since it opened to the public in 1911. After the tour the group went to SpyGlass Rooftop Bar on 47th street to watch the sunset over the great city.
On Sunday the weekend concluded with a group of alums participating in the Central Park Making Strides Walk raising money and awareness for The American Cancer Society. This year the group raised over $600. After the walk the group enjoyed bunch at Dakota Bar on the upper west side.
