Degree in Fashion Launches Digital Marketing Manager's Success

Sheri Pasuco credits Berkeley College for giving her the needed tools for a successful career in digital marketing. “I was inspired to be creative while gaining knowledge of the business side,” Ms. Pasuco said.

The Bayonne resident graduated in 2006 with a B.B.A. in Fashion Marketing and Management, later going on to earn her M.B.A. at Columbia College in Missouri. In June 2016, Ms. Pasuco became the Director of Digital Marketing for Wyndham Worldwide Vacation Rentals. She leads the development and implementation of Wyndham Vacation Rental North America’s digital brand marketing and campaign engagement strategies.

“I am prepared to succeed in my current role at Wyndham Worldwide and grow even more in the future,” Ms. Pasuco said. She has previously worked as Senior Manager of Digital Marketing at skin care company StriVectin, as well as in marketing departments at Toys R’ Us, Barnes & Noble, and online vitamin and supplement retailer Pure Matters, among other companies.

What does success mean to you?

It means continuing to build success in my marketing career. In addition to career goals contributing to my success, my overall health and happiness is a success factor for me, including maintaining a happy, healthy lifestyle filled with family, friends, my dog, and doing things I love most – staying physically active, cooking, reading, and visiting the beach.

What initially inspired you to enroll in Berkeley College?

The Fashion Marketing and Management program, which incorporated an integrated learning program of both creative and business aspects of the industry, initially inspired me to attend Berkeley College. I was encouraged to be creative while also gaining knowledge of the business side.

How did Berkeley College prepare you for success?

I gained the knowledge I needed in order to succeed in the marketplace. Berkeley College provided the tools needed to land an internship at Women’s Wear Daily, a reputable publication in the fashion industry. The internship turned into a full-time position as a Marketing Analyst, which has since led to my successful career in digital marketing.

In which way(s) do you see yourself being successful in the future?

I see myself being successful by continuing to grow in my career. Over the years I have advanced my career in Marketing from Marketing Analyst, to Assistant Marketing Manager, to Marketing Manager, to Senior Marketing Manager, and most recently Director of Digital Marketing.

What advice would you offer today’s college-bound students?

When challenges arise and you have moments of doubt, don’t let your doubts defeat you. Realize the possibilities and your potential, and follow your dreams. Hard work and dedication will pay off. Never doubt yourself. You CAN do it!

What was your most memorable moment at Berkeley College?

My most memorable moment was Graduation Day – the feeling of success, empowerment, and achievement. It was such a proud, uplifting moment and I never felt more prepared for what was to come next.
