Wolfgang Hinck, Ph.D.

Dr. Wolfgang Hinck, Dean, Larry L. Luing School of Business, joined Berkeley College in 2010. He earned an M.B.A. and a Ph.D. in International Business and Marketing from the University of Texas-Pan American in Edinburg.

Dr. Hinck is pursuing research in the areas of cross-cultural consumer behavior, marketing education, and marketing theory. His articles were accepted for presentation and/or publication at dozens of regional, national, and international conferences and journals, including Journal of International Marketing, Journal of Euromarketing, and Journal of Global Business Research, and have been cited in several textbooks.

Dr. Hinck has traveled to more than 40 countries and lived in several of them, including Germany, Ireland, and Spain. His classes are characterized by a global orientation that emphasizes the need for open mindsets, corporate social responsibility, business values of integrity and ethicality, and for an appreciation of diversity.

He is the recipient of various teaching, advising, and service awards, including 2006 and 2009 Professor of the Year at LSU Shreveport and 2011 Business Faculty of the Year at Berkeley College.

Dr. Hinck was recently featured on NJTV’s “One-on-One with Steve Adubato” to discuss the new Marketing Communications degree program and how social media has changed the face of the marketing industry. His professional marketing background consists of full-time and/or consulting assignments with several German, French, English, Irish, Mexican, and U.S. organizations.
