Andrew Hrechak, Ph.D. was appointed Assistant Chair, Management, Larry L. Luing School of Business® in September 2015. Dr. Hrechak started as a professor of Management at Berkeley College beginning in 2010.
Before joining Berkeley College, Dr. Hrechak served as an Academic Coordinator for the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT) in Newark. He also served at NJIT as a Coordinator for Scheduling & Administration from 2002-2005, as well as Coordinator for Student Advisement from 1999-2002. Dr. Hrechak also has extensive administrative and teaching experience from his years as a professor at the College of Saint Elizabeth in Morristown, NJ, where he served as Chairperson of the Business Administration/Economics Department. He also served as Director of the Graduate Program in Management at Seton Hall University in South Orange, NJ, among others in the New Jersey area. In addition to his membership in seven honor societies, he is a member of the Academy of Management, the Association for Computing Machinery, the Society for Human Resource Management, the Institute of Management Accountants, the National Academic Advising Association, and has served on the Board of Directors for Selfreliance UAFCU since 1992.
Dr. Hrechak earned his Ph.D. and M.B.A. in Management with concentrations in Information Systems and Operations Management from Rutgers University in Newark, where he developed an automated fingerprint recognition system for his doctoral research. He earned his M.S. and B.S. in Computer Science with a minor in Industrial/Cost Engineering from NJIT.
