Claudia R. Tyska, Ph.D., was appointed Chair, Accounting and Finance, Larry L. Luing School of Business®, in 2013. She previously served as Associate Chair, Accounting and Finance. She has been teaching Accounting and Finance at Berkeley College since 2009.

Dr. Tyska has many years of experience in teaching financial, managerial, government and advanced accounting. She previously taught at Richard Stockton College of New Jersey in Pomona, NJ; Middlesex County College in Edison, NJ; Bloomfield College in Bloomfield, NJ; Drew University in Madison, NJ; Monmouth University in West Long Branch, NJ; Rider University in Lawrenceville, NJ; and Rutgers University in New Brunswick, NJ. Her area of research is the development of financial accounting theory and practice.

Dr. Tyska received her Ph.D. in Management, with a Concentration in Accounting, from Rutgers State University of New Jersey in Newark, NJ. She also received an M.B.A. in the Professional Accounting Program from Rutgers Graduate School of Management in Newark, NJ, and a B.A. in History from Douglass College in New Brunswick, NJ. Dr. Tyska is a Certified Public Accountant, licensed to practice in the State of New Jersey, and is a Certified Global Management Accountant, issued by the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
