Iessa J. Sutton
Campus Operating Officer, Brooklyn
Iessa J. Sutton was appointed Campus Operating Officer, Brooklyn, in September 2015. In this role, Ms. Sutton handles day-to-day operations and collaborates with all departments to ensure that the policies, procedures, and goals of the campus and the College are met. She also works to build and strengthen partnerships with businesses in the community that support internships for students and lead to permanent career positions.
Ms. Sutton joined the Berkeley College Career Services Department in September 2012, and was later promoted to Senior Director, Career Services.
Prior to joining Berkeley College, Ms. Sutton held management positions with Harlem School of the Arts, The Hewitt School, and The Julliard School, all in Manhattan, NY.
She serves on the Board of Directors at the Theatre of Dance Movement Cultural Arts Academy, St. Albans in Queens, NY, where she began her studies and training in the art of dance and voice as a child.
Ms. Sutton holds a B.A. in Psychology and a double minor in Music and Communications from Clark Atlanta University, GA, and an M.A. in Arts and Organizational Management from the University of Phoenix, AZ.
