Marlene Doty

Vice President, Library Services

Marlene Doty was appointed Vice President, Library Services, in January 2011. In this role, Ms. Doty provides administrative leadership in the unified planning and delivery of library services, resources, policy and procedures, while ensuring that the libraries are in compliance with regulatory, regional and programmatic accrediting agencies.

Ms. Doty began her career at Berkeley College as Director, Learning Resources Center, for the New Jersey locations, later assuming oversight responsibility for all Berkeley College libraries as Director, Library Services. She serves on the Berkeley College Provost Council; Academic Affairs Council; Teaching, Learning and Technology Committee; and other academic and administrative committees.

Her professional affiliations include the Association of College and Research Libraries; New York Library Association; and VALE (Virtual Academic Library Environment) New Jersey Members Council. She served as a member-at-large of the New Jersey Library Association executive board (from 2002 to 2004), and was a Highlands Regional Library Cooperative voting member (from 1989 to 2010).

Ms. Doty holds an M.S. in Library and Information Science from Pratt Institute, NY, and a B.A. from William Paterson College, NJ.
