New Jersey Opportunity Grant
Qualified residents of New Jersey who meet specific requirements may be able to enroll in a full-time Associate’s degree program at Berkeley College —without incurring any loans for tuition and fees!
To qualify for this program, you must:
- Satisfy Berkeley College admissions requirements and be accepted to the College
- Successfully complete all necessary developmental coursework through the Berkeley College Jumpstart Program (if applicable)
- Complete a FAFSA and be eligible for the maximum Federal Pell Grant and the maximum NJ Tuition Aid Grant each financial aid year
- Have sufficient federal and state financial aid eligibility to complete an Associate’s degree
- Complete all federal and state verification requirements before the semester begins
- Be a full‐time student and maintain satisfactory academic progress each semester
To remain in the program and renew the grant, you must:
- Maintain full-time, continuous, consecutive term enrollment. Cannot regain eligibility upon readmission
- Maintain satisfactory academic progress each semester
- Complete a FAFSA and complete all federal and state verification requirements before the semester begins
