Since 1931, Berkeley College has specialized in preparing students for professional and personal success. Proven, career-focused Bachelor's and Associate's degrees are offered in a diverse range of areas, and the College is widely recognized for providing students with a competitive edge and the skills sought by employers. This innovative combination of benefits is known as The Berkeley Advantage®.
Today, more than 7,700 students study at locations in New York and New Jersey, plus Berkeley College Online™. Of those, more than 800 are international students representing more than 100 countries. Berkeley's New York City-based facilities, located in the heart of Midtown as well as Brooklyn; a third New York location in the heart of the business district in White Plains; plus New Jersey locations in Newark, Paramus, Woodbridge, and Woodland Park provide access to all that the New York/New Jersey metro area has to offer.
Combining intense classroom instruction with practical hands-on learning, degree programs are carefully developed and regularly updated to ensure marketplace relevancy. Instructors are chosen for excellent academic credentials, professional experience, and a dedication to delivering close, personal attention to students.
All degree programs require faculty-monitored internships or job-related assignments as part of the curriculum, allowing students to apply what they've learned in real-world situations and giving them valuable experience for beginning a career. Programs and courses are divided into three main areas:
The Larry L. Luing School of Business accounts for the majority of the programs of study. Rigorous academic programs; a well-qualified, supportive faculty; and a wealth of student services and resources work together to help graduates meet the challenges they will face in today's rapidly changing global business environment.
The School of Professional Studies prepares students for success in careers requiring specialized training. Courses give students the in-depth knowledge and latest skills required to excel as professionals in criminal justice, interior design, legal studies, graphic design, and health services careers.
The School of Liberal Arts helps expand students' knowledge and broaden their awareness of the world around them. Courses in humanities, mathematics/science, social sciences, English, and foreign languages add value to the specialized, career-focused training.
By bringing together rigorous academic programs with practical, on-the-job experience, Berkeley College has been changing lives for more than 80 years. Preparing students to enter the professional workplace and enabling others to change or advance their careers has made a difference in thousands of lives...and in the communities where they live and work.
