Purpose
The purpose of the LPN to BSN program is to prepare graduates for the role of nurse generalist as the provider, designer, manager, and coordinator of safe healthcare. The curriculum is structured to include theoretical concepts, values, and skills involved in health promotion, risk reduction, disease prevention, as well as illness and disease management. Knowledge of nursing theory, research, healthcare systems and policy, information and healthcare technologies, ethics in practice, human diversity, and global healthcare is included in the curriculum, which lays the foundation for leadership positions and graduate education.
