Clinical and Surgical Office Procedures

Learn the skills needed to become a valuable member of the healthcare team working in a clinical office setting.

A single course (3 credits) that covers:

  • Patient relations
  • Laboratory procedures and safety protocols
  • Obtaining vital signs
  • Assisting with examinations and treatments
  • Performing diagnostic procedures
  • Preparing and maintaining a sterile surgical environment
  • Preparing patients and assisting with minor surgical procedures

Available in a combination of online and onsite instruction. The course is three (3) credit hours (30 hours lecture, 30 hours mandatory onsite lab component).

Credits from completed courses may be applied toward a degree program offered within the School of Health Studies.
