Earl O’Brien is a hardworking young man with an energetic, charismatic demeanor and humble nature. He acknowledges that his educational journey has not been easy. He has made mistakes along the way, but is determined to be the best man, husband, father, and community servant he can be. He is a testament to the saying, “What does not break us only makes us stronger.”
Earl transferred into Berkeley College with an Associate’s degree, and today, he is graduating with a Bachelor’s in Health Services Management. He has volunteered and worked at his NYC home campus, where he was Vice President of the Student Government Association and a member of the National Society of Leadership and Success (NSLS). He was the student speaker at the 2017 Berkeley College All Associates Day event.
In the fall, Earl will begin work on his Master of Education degree in Mental Health Counseling at Fordham University.
Earl is committed to fulfilling his dream of opening a mental health facility to support those in his community. This is another example of his unwavering commitment to help others.
Earl believes Pelé said it best: “Success is no accident. It is hard work, perseverance, learning, studying, sacrifice, and most of all, love what you are doing.”
