Mission Statement

To empower Berkeley College to cultivate and foster a culture of inclusiveness, equity, accessibility, and belonging, recognizing that all persons – including, but not limited to, all races, genders, sexual orientations, national origins, disabilities, ages, family structures and religious affiliations – have equal access to education, training, employment, mentorship, advancement and key decision-making opportunities at the College.

Vision Statement

Berkeley College will be locally, nationally, and internationally recognized as an exemplary academic institution which actively promotes and celebrates diversity and which is distinguished for its climate of inclusiveness.

Goals

  1. Discover the current perceptions of students, faculty, and associates related to diversity, equity and inclusion on campus by conducting a survey and facilitating conversations to gather information and assess campus climate.
  2. Recommend ways to engage and persuade the College on the benefits of implementing diversity, inclusion, and equity best practices.
  3. Identify the traditionally underrepresented and/or marginalized groups at the College. 
  4. Recommend ways to incorporate diversity, equity and inclusion policies and best practices into the College's mission and strategic plan.
