Edward J. Lynskey

Professor Lynskey has been a full-time faculty member in the Justice Studies programs in the Berkeley College School of Professional Studies for 15 years. Previously, he taught at Middlesex County College, Brookdale Community College, and in the Seton Hall University Graduate and Post-Graduate Degree programs.

Professor Lynskey is a former member of the New Jersey State Police and has served in different assignments during his 28-year career. During this time, he was assigned to the Field Operations Section, was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant and served as the Station Commander of two stations. Later in his career, he served as a member of the Staff Inspection Unit, the Internal Affairs Unit, and the Newark Airport Task Force. He also has significant experience in the security industry, having served as the Director of Operations for a major security contract in LaGuardia, JFK, and Newark airports.

Professor Lynskey has a Bachelor’s degree in English, graduate degrees in Education and Criminal Justice, and a post-graduate degree and a doctorate degree in Education. Additional credentials include an Honorable Discharge from the United States Marine Corps, completing and instructing in the West Point Command and Leadership program for law enforcement leaders, completing the Northwestern University School of Police Staff and Command, and graduate certificates in Leadership and Management and Human Resource Training and Development. He also teaches security certification programs at Berkeley College in New York and New Jersey.
