Sherif Marwan, Alumnus, Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.)
In 2013, I made the move to New York City where I could pursue my new passion for business. I started as a financial advisor at NY Life Insurance Company and within two years I became a senior partner who managed hundreds of advisors. I switched jobs a few more times and in 2018, I joined AXA Advisors as a Regional Vice President. While I was working in the financial sector I earned my Series 6, 7, 24, 63, 66, and my Life & Health Insurance licenses. Two years later, I started my Berkeley College MBA in the winter of 2020. I graduated this spring, two semesters early.

Berkeley College Senior Director, Personal Counseling and ADA Coordinator
I was recently in the grocery store and saw a young woman with a T-shirt that read,” I wish 2020 was over.” I thought about the number of students that I had spoken to during the semester who expressed similar sentiments. When asked “Once 2020 is over, what will be different when the calendar turns to 2021?” students paused, reflected, and realized that the turning of the calendar would not miraculously erase the woes of the past year, but somehow, it would give them hope for a clean start.
