Marc Shur, PhD

Marc Shur, PhD, was named Associate Director of the Division of General Education in 2020. Previously, he was Co-Chair, Math and Sciences, a role in which he was responsible for reviewing and maintaining the Math and Sciences curriculum and supervises professors in this area for all Berkeley College locations in New York.

Dr. Shur joined Berkeley College in September 2009 as a Professor, Math and Sciences.

He is a member of the American Association of Physical Anthropologists, the American Society of Primatologists, the American Anthropological Association, the International Society of Primatologists, and the National Science Teachers Association.

Dr. Shur holds a PhD from Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, in New Brunswick, NJ; an MA from California State University in Fullerton, CA; and a BS in Wildlife Science from Texas A&M University in College Station, TX.
