Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer

William A. Brandt Jr. was appointed Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer in October 2009, having more than two decades of experience in corporate compliance, commercial litigation, and legal administration.

Prior to joining Berkeley College, Mr. Brandt successfully litigated a wide variety of cases in federal and state courts throughout the United States; served as Managing Attorney and Head of Litigation Training at Davis Polk, one of the country’s most prestigious law firms; led the Compliance Department of a major legal services provider; and directed the Global Records Management Program of a multi-national consumer products company.

An honors graduate of Yale University and the University of Michigan Law School, Mr. Brandt is a recognized authority on information privacy, security, and management; and is a contributing author of The Corporate Legal Compliance Handbook, a well-respected compliance reference manual. He is admitted to the practice of law in the State of New York, as well as several federal courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States; and is a long-time member of the American Bar Association, the New York State and New York City Bar Associations, and the Association of Corporate Counsel.
