William A. Brandt Jr., Esq., joined Berkeley College in 2009 and was appointed Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer in January 2014. With more than three decades of experience in commercial litigation, legal administration, and organizational compliance, Mr. Brandt has successfully litigated a wide variety of cases in federal and state courts throughout the United States; served as Managing Attorney and guided the litigation training program at one of the country’s most prestigious law firms; led the compliance department of a major legal services provider; and directed the global records and information management program of a multi-national consumer products company. Among other professional accolades, Mr. Brandt has been honored as a finalist for 2017 “General Counsel of the Year” by NJ Biz and recognized as one of New York and New Jersey’s “Top Rated Lawyers” by ALM Legal Leaders™.

A cum laude graduate of Yale University and the University of Michigan Law School, Mr. Brandt is admitted to the practice of law in the State of New York, the State of New Jersey (in-house counsel), and several federal courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States. He is a contributing author of The Corporate Legal Compliance Handbook, a well-respected compliance reference manual, and is a long-time member of the American Bar Association, the New York State and New York City Bar Associations, and the Association of Corporate Counsel.
