William A. Brandt Jr., Esq., was appointed Vice President, General Counsel and Chief Compliance Officer in January 2014. He joined Berkeley College as Vice President and Chief Compliance Officer in October 2009, bringing with him more than two decades of experience in organizational compliance, commercial litigation, and legal administration.

Recognized in recent years as one of New York and New Jersey’s “Top Rated Lawyers” by ALM Legal Leaders, Mr. Brandt has successfully litigated a wide variety of cases in federal and state courts throughout the United States; served as Managing Attorney and guided the litigation training program at Davis Polk, one of the country’s most prestigious law firms; led the Compliance Department of a major legal services provider; and directed the global records and information management program of a multi-national consumer products company.

An honors graduate of Yale University and the University of Michigan Law School, Mr. Brandt is admitted to the practice of law in the State of New York, the State of New Jersey (in-house counsel license), and several federal courts, including the Supreme Court of the United States. He is a contributing author of The Corporate Legal Compliance Handbook, a well-respected compliance reference manual, and is a long-time member of the American Bar Association, the New York State and New York City Bar Associations, and the Association of Corporate Counsel.
