John Link
In addition to being a full-time professor at Berkeley College, Professor John Link currently serves as a law enforcement consultant, collaborating with agencies and local governments on a variety of issues. Prior to joining the Berkeley College team, he served as a police chief in one of New Jersey’s urban 15 municipalities, attaining an Advanced Chief Executive Certification. He served and held command positions in every agency bureau prior to attaining the rank of chief.
Professor Link is a graduate of the Federal Bureau of Investigation’s Hazardous Devices School, becoming a certified bomb technician, the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety School of Police Staff and Command, the Northwestern University Center for Public Safety Executive Management Program, and has completed numerous other executive courses of study. He has served as a Subject Matter Expert for the New Jersey Department of Personnel and has testified in superior court as a police report writing expert. He has developed and taught both basic and advanced police training courses with attendees from federal, state, and local police agencies. Professor Link holds a Bachelor’s degree, a Master’s degree and is currently pursuing a PhD.
