Rachel Adler Jaffee, Esq.
Rachel Adler Jaffee, Esq., was named Vice President, Legal, in 2025. In this role, Ms. Jaffee provides legal support and advice to the Berkeley College community; works with and oversees outside counsel; reviews, updates and develops policies and procedures that facilitate institutional goals, while reducing risk and promoting ethical conduct; reviews and drafts College agreements; and, in partnership with College leadership, monitors compliance with federal, state, and local laws and regulations. Ms. Jaffee previously served as Associate General Counsel and Associate Vice President, Compliance, for Berkeley College.
Before joining Berkeley College in 2010, Ms. Jaffee served as Deputy Counsel to the Inspector General for the New York City Housing Authority (NYCHA), where she investigated allegations of fraud, corruption, conflicts of interest, and criminality and generally counseled and provided legal advice to NYCHA staff. Prior to serving the NYCHA, she practiced various fields of law, including employment, intellectual property, healthcare, and products liability.
Ms. Jaffee is admitted to practice law in New York and New Jersey. She is a member of the New Jersey State Bar Association, the New Jersey Women Lawyers Association, and the Association of Corporate Counsel.
She holds a JD from Albany Law School of Union University, where she graduated cum laude. She also holds a BA in Economics from the University of Rochester, where she graduated Phi Beta Kappa and magna cum laude.
