The Fashion Merchandising and Management Department is elated to host a Black History Month Panel featuring talented designers and merchants in the fashion industry. These talented and skilled fashion executives are shining their talents on an often-marginalized community and inspiring others along the way.

Terese Sydonna Brown
Terese, a Jamaican-born, New York-bred designer, is especially passionate about helping women entrepreneurs and is known for fusion of her vibrant Jamaican culture, Japanese art, and architecture. In addition to launching her namesake label and lifestyle brand, she has advised and guided the building of fashion brands from start-up design to growth stages. She holds a dual degree in Economics & Business and Studio Art from Lafayette College and a degree from FIT.

Sandra is an accomplished celebrity-style expert who has styled some of the biggest names across the world. Her work has been seen in publications such as Vibe, ABC, Essence, Amazon Prime Movies, and CFDA. She visually understands how to tell a style story on-camera, which has led her to be a fashion reporter during New York Fashion Week, have a magazine feature in InStyle, and gain digital popularity on social media. She is on a mission to inspire those around her through her writing and creativity in the realm of beauty, fashion, and lifestyle.

It’s a learning and networking must for anyone interested in a career in fashion.
