NEW JERSEY CAMPUSES 

The following event will take place at Berkeley College, 536 Broad Street, Newark:

Berkeley College will host an Open House from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. The event is for high school juniors. Guests will have the opportunity to meet and greet staff and faculty, and learn about degree programs, as well as financial aid and scholarship opportunities.  Transfer students will learn about transfer opportunities. Berkeley College invites local nonprofits and individuals to Marketing Communications and Social Media 101, a free workshop led by William DiMasi, Vice President, Marketing, and Marc DiPasquale, Social Media Coordinator, both of Berkeley College, about building brand awareness on a limited budget and tracking results. How to find the time to post in Twitter, LinkedIn and Instagram will be discussed. The workshop will be held in Room 127 from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m., followed by lunch. Graphic Design Portfolio Day:  High school students who are interested in designing as a career should attend this workshop and bring their portfolios for review.  Learn about degree programs and careers, and speak with students and alumni.  Portfolios will be evaluated and some students may be eligible to receive a Graphic Design scholarship. Fashion Careers:  Get up close with the fashion world. Corrine McCormack, self-described as an executive, entrepreneur, wife, mother and author, will discuss her book How to Launch a Multimillion Dollar Business.  Learn about the eight characteristics a person needs to be a successful entrepreneur.  Participate in a hands-on workshop and customize your own pair of sunglasses.  Ten copies of her book will be raffled.  The event begins at 12 p.m. and is free, but seating is limited.  For more information, please call 800-446-5400, ext.
