Attention Editors: This year Berkeley College celebrates its 90th anniversary of empowering students to achieve lifelong success in dynamic careers. Berkeley College’s rich history will be recognized throughout the year at various celebrations to commemorate this milestone. The events listed here are virtual. June 3

Berkeley College will host a Business Data Science virtual information session. Learn about the Business Data Science program, which focuses on technologically advanced and rigorous data science and artificial intelligence curricula. Get firsthand insight from professionals in the field.  The session, which begins at 6 p.m., is free, but registration is required. Berkeley College will host a Graphic Design virtual information session. Learn how graphic designers use various methods to construct and combine words, symbols and images to create a visual message. Berkeley College and Latinas in Business invite the public to the Women Entrepreneurs Empowerment Summit from 1:30 to 6:30 p.m. This virtual event will connect and empower women business owners with the tools and insights designed to propel them forward in the wake of the COVID-19 pandemic. Workshop topics include: recovering your personal power, gaining back financial wellness and learning all about business innovation. Attendees will have the chance to engage with workshop facilitators and with each other. Community and business leaders are invited to the 4th Annual Berkeley College Foundation Golf Outing, beginning at 9 a.m., at the Wild Turkey Golf Course, Crystal Springs Golf Resort, Hamburg, NJ. After driving/putting practice, participants will enjoy a round of golf, lunch and raffles. Berkeley College and the National Rehabilitation Association, New York Chapter, invite the public to a webinar on “Long Haulers:  Post-Acute COVID-19 Syndrome:  The Aftermath of Cognitive Disability.” Attendees will learn that COVID-19 infection may not end after initial symptoms. People identified as “long haulers” have been experiencing brain fog and other cognitive deficits after their initial infection.  This webinar will discuss these effects and how to find helpful resources. The webinar runs from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m., and there is no cost to attend.  A question-and-answer session will follow.

Welcome statements will be given from Michael Smith, President, Berkeley College; Sharon McLennon-Wier, PhD, CRC, LMHC, Director of Disability Services, Berkeley College; Paula Lee, Director, Experiential Learning, New York University’s Wasserman Center for Career Development; and Christopher Kempski and Wendy Hersh, Co-Presidents, National Rehabilitation Association, Metropolitan New York Chapter.
