Angelo Zecca, DSc
Professor Angelo Zecca is a full-time professor in the Justice Studies - Criminal Justice department at Berkeley College. He has been involved in law enforcement and criminal justice for more than 30 years, either in the field or within the classroom as a scholarly practitioner. Professor Zecca is a retired police veteran with over 25 years of experience in civilian protection, bias crime investigation, intelligence gathering, critical incident response, and community leadership. He is well-versed in conducting research, developing, and delivering college courses, as well as in coordinating organization and community projects. In addition, he is experienced in educating law enforcement and community and private sector populations in diversity and cultural awareness and conducting vulnerability assessments and planning an effective response.
Professor Zecca holds a BS in Administration of Justice from Rutgers University with a minor in Criminology; an M.S. in National Security from New Jersey City University, and a Doctor of Science (DSc) degree in Civil Security Leadership, Management, and Policy from New Jersey City University. His dissertation title was “An Executive Community Outreach Program (ECOP) and The Ability of Local Law Enforcement to Share Information with the Muslim Community in Central New Jersey.”
