Busie Matsiko
Busie Matsiko is an award-winning global strategist and entrepreneur, and a Berkeley College alumna.
Soon after earning a Bachelor of Business Administration degree in Management from Berkeley College in 2004, Matsiko emerged as a fashion influencer, co-founding one of the first fashion-technology companies, Fashion Indie, which was acquired by Nylon magazine. Born in South Africa to Ugandan and South African parents, she has been a leader in diaspora affairs for more than 20 years and has been recognized by the African Union for her efforts in diversity and inclusion. She serves as Executive Director of The Africa Future Summit, which brings together investors and leaders in technology, entrepreneurship, and politics to address the challenges that affect Africa’s future.
Most recently, Matsiko serves as Founder and CEO of Pont Global, a boutique management and recruitment firm focused on helping women. She is also the creator of RESET, a platform for thought leaders to discuss business strategies during the COVID-19 pandemic. In 2025, she authored her first book, Create the Life of Your Dreams: The Art of Unlocking Potential with Vision Boards.
