Teri Duda
Teri Duda was appointed Senior Vice President, Government Relations in July 2010. In this role Ms. Duda provides a direct line of communication between Berkeley College and elected officials and is responsible for conveying the needs of Berkeley College and its students on the municipal, county, state, and federal levels.
Ms. Duda began her career at Berkeley College in 1991 as Campus Operating Officer of Berkeley College’s former Waldwick Campus. She has also served as Administrative Director, Director Agency Relations, Vice President of Workforce Development, Vice President of External Affairs, and most recently as Senior Vice President of External Affairs where she was responsible for creating and coordinating many important New Jersey state partnerships and programs.
Ms. Duda serves on the Board of Directors for several Chambers of Commerce including Greater Paramus and Greater Paterson. Additionally, Ms. Duda served on the Newark Regional Business Partnership (NRBP) Board, the membership task force for the Commerce & Industry Association of New Jersey (CIANJ) and the Tri-County Chamber of Commerce Board of Directors. Ms. Duda served on the Steering Committee for the 2011 Governor's Conference on Women and currently serves on the 2012 Governor's Conference. In June 2011, she was appointed by the Governor to serve on the New Jersey State Employment and Training Commission.
Ms. Duda holds an M.A. from the University of Wisconsin and a BA from the San Diego State University. She is a Bloustein Fellow of the John Heldridge Leadership Institute on Workforce Development from Rutgers University and certified by the IEDC (International Economic Development Council) for her completion of their Managing Economic Development Organizations course. Ms. Duda was honored with a Lifetime Achievement Award in October 2011 by the Paramus Education Foundation, the 2010 Women in Faces of New Jersey, the 2008 Garden State Woman of the Year in Education by Garden State Woman Magazine, one of the top 50 Women in Business by NJ BIZ, the 2008 Hero award from the Boys & Girls Club of Paterson and Passaic, the Shirley Chisholm Catalyst for Change Award by Assemblywoman Sheila Oliver, the Vision Award from the Paramus Chamber of Commerce and was named a Paul Harris and Walter D. Head fellow through Rotary International for her creation of significant partnerships.
