In the city’s central business district, next to the Verizon and IDT headquarters and across from Washington Park, the Newark location of Berkeley College is within walking distance to major employers, retailers, and government offices. The Newark Public Library, Newark Museum, New Jersey Performing Arts Center, and many other cultural attractions are all close to the Newark facility.
The best public transportation system in New Jersey offers students easy accessibility to and from Newark. Buses and the NJ Transit Light Rail system stop right in front of the College. Newark Penn Station and the Broad Street Train Station are only minutes away. The PATH system provides convenient access to Manhattan and Hudson County.

The College occupies a newly renovated modern facility. Numerous amenities are available in one convenient location—classrooms, student services, library, Academic Support Center, and student lounge. All facilities are designed to accommodate the physically challenged.
The library offers computers for research and Internet access; study areas; a copier; and a collection of print, media, and periodical subscriptions supporting the academic programs of the College and the general interests of the students. Students may borrow a laptop from the library to access the College's wireless network. Academic librarians are available to assist in locating materials in the collection or navigating the array of available electronic databases.
The Academic Support Center (ASC) is on the second floor and offers a full array of academic support services to help students improve their academic performance and achieve their educational goals. The ASC offers a series of workshops to help strengthen study skills and time management. Tutoring is available online and on-site.
