Honor Societies
Recognizing your achievements.
Students who attain high academic achievement at Berkeley College may join a variety of honor societies in recognition of their accomplishment. Eligible students are invited to Berkeley College’s chapters of the following academic honor societies each January based on their grades and transcripts at the close of the fall semester:
Alpha Phi Sigma, the National Criminal Justice Honor Society, recognizes the scholarly achievements of students enrolled in Baccalaureate level Criminal Justice programs.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 36 earned semester credits toward completion of the Bachelor Degree program in Justice Studies – Criminal Justice.
- A minimum of 4 courses in the above coursework must be in the criminal justice field (coded as Justice Studies classes).
- Rank in the top 35 % of class after the completion of the fall semester; however, Cumulative GPA cannot be lower than 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
- Minimum 3.2 Cumulative Major GPA or higher (calculated using grades for all Justice Studies classes completed)
- Must be a current degree candidate for the following program at the time of induction in the winter semester:
- Bachelor of Science Degree program in Justice Studies – Criminal Justice
Alpha Sigma Lambda recognizes the academic achievements of adult students enrolled in Baccalaureate and Associate level programs.
MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
- Must have been admitted through Adult Admissions
- Minimum of 24 earned semester credits from Berkeley College
- Minimum of 12 earned semester credits should be in courses in Liberal Arts/Sciences, not including applied Arts/Sciences courses.
- Must be in top 20% of class after completion of the fall semester; however, Cumulative GPA cannot be lower than 3.2 on a 4.0 scale.
- Must be a current degree candidate for one of the following programs at the time of induction in the winter semester:
- Any Bachelor of Business Administration program
- Any Bachelor of Science program
- Any Bachelor of Fine Arts program
- Any Associate Degree program
The Financial Management Association National Honor Society recognizes the achievement of students enrolled in Baccalaureate level finance and accounting programs.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 60 earned semester credits
- Minimum 3.50 Cumulative GPA or higher
- Minimum 3.50 Cumulative GPA in finance or finance-related coursework.
- Successful completion of six (6) credits in finance or accounting coursework
- Must be a current degree candidate in one of the following programs at the time of induction in the winter semester:
- Bachelor of Business Administration in Financial Services
- Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting
- Bachelor of Science in Financial Services
- Bachelor of Science in Accounting
Lambda Epsilon Chi acknowledges students who have attained excellence in Baccalaureate and Associate level Legal Studies programs.

MEMBERSHIP REQUIREMENTS:
- Minimum of 40 earned semester credits toward completion of the Associate Degree program in Legal Studies or minimum of 80 earned semester credits toward completion of the Bachelor of Science Degree program in Legal Studies.
- Minimum 3.25 cumulative GPA or higher after completion of the fall semester
- Minimum 3.50 cumulative major GPA or higher (calculated using grades for all LAW classes)
- You must be a current degree candidate in one of the following programs:
- Associate in Applied Science Degree program in Legal Studies
- Bachelor of Science Degree program in Legal Studies
Mu Kappa Tau is dedicated to promoting academic excellence in students who are enrolled in Baccalaureate level Marketing programs and who are committed to an exceptional standard of ethics and achievement within the marketing discipline.

- Must be a current degree candidate in one of the following programs at the time of induction in the winter semester:
- Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing Communications
Phi Theta Kappa recognizes the scholarly achievements of students enrolled in Associate’s degree programs and students enrolled in certificate programs where 12 credit hours of completed coursework can be applied toward an Associate's degree in the same major at Berkeley College.

- Must be in top 20% of class after completion of the fall semester; however, Cumulative GPA cannot be lower than 3.5 on a 4.0 scale.
- Minimum of 60 earned credits or more for undergraduate students
- Minimum of 18 earned semester credits of 600 level or above courses for MBA students
- You must be a current degree candidate for the below programs at the time of induction in the winter semester:
- Master of Business Administration, Management
- Bachelor of Business Administration
- Bachelor of Business Administration - Management
- Bachelor of Business Administration in Health Services Management
- Bachelor of Business Administration in Fashion Merchandising and Management

Students who choose to join these societies participate in a formal induction ceremony and receive ceremonial stoles that are worn during commencement.
