According to the 2020 Rev Up Westchester campaign, one in four American adults has a disability – this community has the potential to become a powerful voting segment Berkeley College, a member of Rev Up Westchester, the coalition of people from local community organizations that supports those with disabilities or those who live with disabilities themselves, will host Rev Up! The Disability Vote on Wednesday, January 15, 2020, from 9 to 10:15 a.m. at 99 Church Street in White Plains. Disability-related agencies will discuss how the Rev Up Westchester coalition helps inform the community about the need for, and ways to further, voting access for individuals with disabilities. According to the 2020 Rev Up Westchester campaign, one in four American adults have a disability, so this community has the potential to become a powerful voting segment, which can bring political focus to the issues it cares about. The nonpartisan coalition comprising Rev Up Westchester includes Westchester Disabled on the Move Inc., the League of Women Voters of Westchester, the Westchester Council of the Blind of NY, Berkeley College, Westchester Independent Living Center and the Self-Advocacy Association of New York State, Inc.
