The Morris County Chamber of Commerce will host a webinar on “Working with Virtual Interns and Best Virtual Hiring Practices,” from 12 noon to 1 p.m. Jasmine Briggs-Rogers, Director, Career Services, and Rosa Santana, Assistant Director, Career Services, both of Berkeley College, will discuss techniques on how to hire and manage virtual interns and entry-level employees. Berkeley College will host an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) to BSN (Bachelor of Science in Nursing) webinar at 12 noon. This is the only program of its kind in New Jersey. Berkeley College will co-sponsor City & State NY – a Virtual Education NY Summit from 1 to 3:40 p.m. The event will cover the new situations that have come out of COVID 19. Industry executives, public sector leaders and academics will share ideas and debate critical issues such as remote learning, standardized testing and public school funding.

Berkeley College will host Open Houses at 11 a.m. and 6 p.m. The virtual events are for high school seniors and adult students. Guests will have the opportunity to hear from staff and faculty, and learn about degree programs, as well as financial aid and scholarship opportunities. Kevin Luing, Board Chairman, Berkeley College, will be a guest speaker at a Commerce and Industry Association of NJ (CIANJ) webinar titled “Tackling COVID-19 – a Family-Owned Business Perspective” from 10 to 11 a.m. Family businesses have a sense of commitment and loyalty to their employees, but the pandemic and the restrictions imposed to fight its spread have become obstacles that have inhibited communication. Luing and other family business entrepreneurs will discuss their experiences, strategies to sustain their businesses and their core values.
