Berkeley College Students from Manalapan and Matawan Inducted into National Honor Societies in Virtual Ceremony

BERKELEY COLLEGE STUDENTS FROM MANALAPAN AND MATAWAN INDUCTED INTO NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETIES IN VIRTUAL CEREMONY

         

More than 150 Berkeley College students were inducted into six honor societies during a virtual ceremony this year, in keeping with adherence to the guidelines required for gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was held on March 24, 2021.

“I am proud of our students and their accomplishments,” said Michael J. Smith, President of Berkeley College. “They have exhibited patterns of excellence that will serve them extraordinarily well over the course of their lives.” 

The following students from Monmouth County, NJ, have been inducted into national honor societies at Berkeley College:

  • Jennifer Noltemy of Manalapan, Phi Theta Kappa
  • Anna Browne of Matawan, Phi Theta Kappa
  • Courtney Keller of Matawan, Lambda Epsilon Chi

 

The Lambda Epsilon Chi National Honor Society was established in 1995 to honor the academic achievements of students in legal studies. To qualify, students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.25 or higher after completion of the fall semester and a cumulative grade point average of 3.50 or higher in all LAW classes.  

The Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society was established in 1918 to honor the academic achievement of students pursuing two-year degrees. To qualify, students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
