BERKELEY COLLEGE STUDENT FROM THE BRONX INDUCTED INTO PHI THETA KAPPA NATIONAL HONOR SOCIETY IN VIRTUAL CEREMONY
Jael Cabrera of the Bronx in Bronx County, NY, has been inducted into the Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society at Berkeley College.
More than 150 Berkeley College students were inducted into six honor societies during a virtual ceremony this year, in keeping with adherence to the guidelines required for gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was held on March 24, 2021.
“I am proud of our students and their accomplishments,” said Michael J. Smith, President of Berkeley College. “They have exhibited patterns of excellence that will serve them extraordinarily well over the course of their lives.”
The Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society was established in 1918 to honor the academic achievement of students pursuing two-year degrees. To qualify, students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
