Berkeley College Students from Suffolk County Inducted into Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society in Virtual Ceremony

More than 150 Berkeley College students were inducted into six honor societies during a virtual ceremony this year, in keeping with adherence to the guidelines required for gatherings during the COVID-19 pandemic. The event was held on March 24, 2021.
“I am proud of our students and their accomplishments,” said Michael J. Smith, President of Berkeley College. “They have exhibited patterns of excellence that will serve them extraordinarily well over the course of their lives.”
The following students from Suffolk County, NY, have been inducted into Phi Theta Kappa at Berkeley College:
- Sugrim Bhavanie of Central Islip
- Mary Grady of Southampton
The Phi Theta Kappa National Honor Society was established in 1918 to honor the academic achievement of students pursuing two-year degrees. To qualify, students must have a cumulative grade point average of 3.5 or higher.
