from Women's Entrepreneurship Week 2022
Inspiring entrepreneurs and leaders in business and government shared their BIG IDEAS during Berkeley College’s eighth annual Women’s Entrepreneurship Week (WEW) summit, held on Tuesday, October 18, 2022. More than 100 attendees joined “Big Ideas: The Catalyst for Business Success,” which was livestreamed and held in-person at the College’s New York City campus.
Berkeley College presented keynote speaker Julissa Gutierrez, Chief Diversity Officer, New York State, with the 2022 Women’s Empowerment Award for Inspiring Future Leaders. The award recognizes the entrepreneurs, business and community leaders who have shared their career advice and personal experiences with Berkeley College students and the community at-large.
The WEW summit also featured a panel of prominent entrepreneurs who shared their journeys to professional success. Speakers included Rechelle Balanzat, CEO and Founder, Juliette Technologies; Kibonen Nfi, CEO, Cameroon Clothing Company; Elizabeth Taylor, Owner, True Beauty Brooklyn and Co-host, True Beauty Brooklyn Podcast; and Christina Young, Founder, Stia Jewelry. The panel was moderated by Linda Mauro, Campus Operating Officer, Berkeley College in New York City.
