Berkeley College will celebrate the accomplishments of alumna Nancy Robles, a resilient survivor, social justice warrior, mental health advocate, leader, and disruptor, during “Many Pieces of Me” – An Afternoon with Author Nancy Robles. The event will be held on Tuesday, May 28, 2024, at 2 p.m. at Berkeley College, 3 East 43rd Street, New York City, and via livestream.

The reading and discussion are open to students, alumni, faculty, staff, and the community at-large. Light refreshments will be provided, and signed copies of “Many Pieces of Me” will be available for purchase.

Robles’ powerful narrative, “Many Pieces of Me,” is a testament to the strength that education, resilience, and advocacy can bring to one’s life. May is Mental Health Awareness Month.

About the Author

Nancy Robles was born in Costa Rica and moved to the United States to 1981, where she experienced poverty and violence. She worked tirelessly to obtain two degrees from Berkeley College, as well as a Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree. In 2005, Robles joined Eastern Funding LLC, where she now serves as President and Chief Operating Officer. She was named Berkeley College’s 2017 Alumna of the Year and sits on the Board of the Berkeley College Foundation. Robles has embraced a journey to recovery from generational trauma and abuse. Today, she speaks nationally on topics such as diversity, equity, and inclusion; leadership; and mental health, and is engaged in advocacy work around these causes.
