Berkeley College faculty, staff, and community partners celebrated the heritage and contributions of Latin Americans at the New York City FC Noche Latina match on Wednesday, September 17, 2025, at Yankee Stadium. Berkeley College serves as the Official Higher Education Partner: Undergraduate and Graduate Services of the Club, collaborating on education and career development, including on match days and at official New York City FC events.
The Club also welcomed two of the College’s Corporate Learning Partners, including iHeartMedia New York, as well as Rennert International, the College’s affiliate international language school. Rennert provides New York City FC’s First Team players with ESL courses, language translation, and interpretation services.
“This is the epitome of what cross-collaborative partnership building looks like – the power of storytelling through diverse communication methodologies, united under a shared vision for culture, creativity, and education,” said Panagiota Babadelis, Senior Director, Marketing and Communications, Berkeley College. “We value these opportunities to strengthen our partnership with New York City FC as we continue advancing our commitment to creating equitable pathways in higher education, mentorship, and career development. The Noche Latina match was an incredible opportunity to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month while providing a memorable experience para nuestra comunidad.”

The annual event honors the heritage and contributions of Latin Americans in New York City and beyond.
A pre-match spotlight featured a full stadium takeover of the Jumbotron and in-stadium media, showcasing the Berkeley College “¿Cuál es tu Gol?” campaign – a message empowering match attendees to pursue their goals through education and community. The activation also spotlighted the Teach Me Something podcast as the Hispanic Heritage Highlight, hosted by DJ Prostyle – a nationally recognized DJ on iHeartMedia New York’s 103.5 KTU and Power 105.1, who is of Dominican descent – and Babadelis, known on-air as Penny Dellas, who is of Uruguayan descent. Teach Me Something, which explores the transformative power of education through storytelling, is a collaboration between Berkeley College and iHeartPodcasts, and was featured in celebration of Hispanic Heritage Month. Teach Me Something is produced and distributed by iHeartPodcasts, with new episodes available every Monday on the iHeartRadio app and everywhere podcasts are heard.
According to Babadelis, the immersive activation and stadium takeover provided the 23,000 attendees with a glimpse at what a Berkeley College education would offer at any age or stage in life: hands-on learning, individual attention, rich and diverse cultural engagement, and limitless possibilities to reach a student’s full potential.
