White Plains Campus

The White Plains campus is no longer accepting new applications and is working with current students to transition them to a Berkeley College campus of their choosing in New York City, Online, or in New Jersey. Beginning in the fall 2021 semester, the White Plains campus will be consolidated with the New York City campus. This consolidation does not impact the current spring semester and courses will continue as scheduled.

The Berkeley College White Plains campus, in the heart of the city’s business district, allows a high degree of interaction between the College and the community, enhancing Berkeley’s commitment to providing students with an education that prepares them for successful careers.

Students enjoy all the advantages of college life in one location—classrooms, student services, library, Center for Academic Success, theater, student lounge, and computer labs. All facilities are designed to accommodate the physically challenged. The easily accessible facility is near commuter train and bus lines and just 35 minutes from Manhattan.

Many national and international corporations call White Plains home, a significant advantage for students seeking local internships and employment. The city is also home to large shopping malls, shops and boutiques, and a wide variety of eating establishments.

Modern, On-Campus Housing

A friendly community spirit distinguishes the residence experience at Berkeley College in White Plains. Sussex House provides furnished housing with kitchens, Wi-Fi, free laundry facilities, and many other amenities and conveniences (including a free membership at a local gym!). Residence Hall grants are available for those who qualify.

Campus Directions

From I-287 East: Take Exit 6, White Plains. Turn right at light onto North Broadway for .7 miles. Turn right onto Hamilton Avenue. Municipal Parking is on the left between EJ Conroy Drive and Church Street. Exit garage and cross Hamilton Avenue. College is one block on Church Street.

From I-287 West: Take Exit 6, White Plains. Turn left at first light onto Orchard Street. Turn left at light onto North Broadway for .7 miles. Proceed as above from I-287 East directions.

From I-95 North and South: Take Exit 21 onto I-287 West. Proceed as above from I-287 West.

From Hutchinson River Parkway North and South: Take White Plains Exit (Exit 26W) and merge left onto I-287 West. Proceed as above from I-287 West.

From the Bronx River Parkway North: Take Exit 21/Main Street. Turn right onto Main Street. Go straight on Main Street for seven lights. Turn left onto Church Street. Turn right into Municipal Parking. Exit garage and cross Hamilton Avenue. College is one block on Church Street.

From Rockland County: Take I-87 South across the Tappan Zee Bridge. After toll, stay left and follow signs to I-287 East/White Plains at exit number 8. Proceed as above from I-287 East.

From the Transit Center: Leaving the Transit Center, turn right after one block and make a left onto Hamilton Avenue for three blocks. Turn left onto Church Street. Municipal parking is located just one block away.

Campus Operating Officer

Berkeley College Campus Operating Officers (COOs) at the New Jersey and New York campuses and Berkeley College Online® have a variety of responsibilities that include overseeing day-to-day operations, finances, student and staff retention, space management, community outreach, and monitoring training and professional development programs.

At each campus, there are always new challenges and new opportunities. Though the needs vary, the COOs all agree that they love mentoring, coaching, and discovering the potential in their students.

In the center of the White Plains business district, near transportation and popular city destinations, the White Plains campus offers a range of meeting facilities for rent. From a large theater-style lecture room to classrooms, conference rooms, and a fully equipped computer lab, you’ll find the perfect setting for groups and events. Rooms can be set up for your specific needs, and media equipment is available upon request. Inquire about your rental request as early as possible to ensure availability.
